Okay, first off, one should really just watch this as part of "Friendship is Magic." On its own, it would lose a huge amount of the fun and, well, most plot context. That said: It is a nice movie, as silly-cute fun as the regular show, clearly written by the same people. I'm still not ... a fan of the human designs, the animations are kinda mixed, and the end fight was sadly very deus-ex-machina-y cut short, I would've loved an actual fight, but overall a nice movie and some fun spins on the origin show's characters. Scootaloo actually looks kinda nice as human, Pinkie is crazy-lovely in every dimension and Spike is a good boy either way, too. This opens up quite some new ideas on how other dimensions might look and work like. Also, I liked the Highschool Musical song number. 😁 So, if you enjoy Friendship is Magic, this is a good addition between seasons 3 and 4, even if ponies still are superior! 😁
