Karthi is an Indian film actor who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He began his career in cinema as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam on the film Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004). Karthi made his acting debut with Paruthiveeran (2007), becoming an overnight sensation.
