80 years on, this only really serves as a bit of nostalgia for some of the Hollywood names and faces that were famous in the 1930s. Aside from Laurel & Hardy, and possibly Marlene Dietrich, I can't say I recognised too many of the caricatures of the folks who came to enjoy the picnic and proceeded t ... o gorge themselves before. The animation isn't great nor are colours very vivid and despite a jolly song at the end, it's all just a little bit lifeless.
